Helical Technology Ltd scooped the top award in a recent awards ceremony of the North West Society of Chartered Accountants.

Helical Technology Ltd, of Lytham, was chosen for the top prize, the Yorkshire Bank Business of the Year award, at the glittering ceremony held at Ribby Hall Village, near Preston.

On the evening of 22nd November Helical attended a ceremony at which Alistair Morris, Managing Director received on the behalf of the company.

Helical was chosen from a shortlist of 5 finalists.

The award is part of the "Accountancy and Business Awards 2007" of the North West Society of Chartered Accountants and was presented by Peter Mileham, Regional Chair of Yorkshire Bank and President of the British Chambers of Commerce.

It was presented

"to the outstanding organisation that has best demonstrated innovation, technical prowess, exceptional financial returns, strong growth and displayed how it has its customers and staff at the heart of its business".

In total 12 awards were handed out.

Melanie Christie, acting regional director, Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales North West Region, said:
